Mental health with the whole person in mind

You are not broken, but you may not feel whole.

Living with a chronic condition–anxiety, depression, Autistic or ADHD burnout, medical trauma, chronic illness, to name a few–can feel exhausting, overwhelming, and relentless. Taking care of yourself and getting through the day can feel like a job in and of itself. Finding a way to support your own unique body, brain, and experience is crucial to navigating life with a chronic condition.

Let's work together to find out what works best for you.

Meet Melanie

I am Melanie Dosen (she/her/hers), Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing mental health care to individuals, parents, and families for over 10 years. I believe that it is an honor to be part of anyone's mental health journey, and feel immense privilege to be a part of the process with my clients and families. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach’s Social Work Program, I bring my wealth of experience providing therapeutic support in agency-based, community, in-home, and school settings to my practice. As a person who lives with a chronic illness (Type 1 Diabetes), I know firsthand how draining it can be to constantly be adapting and planning around a chronic condition. I am committed to providing a space where people can learn about their own needs, find meaning in their own stories, and most importantly, feel free to be their own unique, authentic selves. This practice is LGBTQ+ allied, neuroaffirming, and open to all cultures.

Even though you may share a diagnosis with millions of other people, your story is unique to you.
